Goblin Problems
Goblin Problems
You’re a happy-go-lucky gnome who just wants to wash your dishes in peace. But when those pesky goblins smash up your water supply, you must take matters into your own little hands and go a tinkerin’!
Goblin Problems is a 2D platformer developed in Godot for the Godot Jam Round 2 game jam. The jam's theme was “Out of Order,” and who better to put things back in order than a wee gnome?
The results are in! Thank you to everyone who played and rated our submission! Goblin Problems was rated 3rd place overall!
This is the first game we’ve made using Godot, and we tried to use as many of its features as possible to learn all we could. While it only has a single level, we feel the mechanics and systems we implemented would make it easy to build more in the future!
How to Play
A-D or LEFT-RIGHT ARROWS to move.
SPACE, W, or UP ARROW to jump.
S or DOWN ARROW to fall through platforms.
SHIFT to roll. (When the ability is unlocked)
E to interact.

So cool
Thank you! We have so much fun making it
Great job. The mecanics feel just right and the animations are solid and cute. The only animation that could be better (I think) it's the one when you land. I don´t think the arms should move that much. It should be short and subtle. I also like the art style that you guy chose and the little event cinematics nintendo style.
Nice work!
Thanks so much for checking it out! I had a lot of fun learning the Godot engine and what I can do with it. When we worked out we could do animations with the AnimationPlayer, we knew we had to go that direction. Thanks for the feedback on the landing animation, if we continue to develop this we'll definitely take your advice.
